Barometer of inequality
The aim of the project is to measure and analyze the development of economical and social inequality.
«Barometer of inequality» is a research project with two main goals.
The first one, establishing an inequality measure, requires that several indicators of economic and social inequality are taken into account. The choice of data is important too. Investigating developments of inequality demands the best measure that current data can provide, but it also requires a measure that is consistent and comparable over time.
The second goal of the project, building on the established inequality index, is to describe and explain how inequality in Norway has evolved over time.
